CareNow Foundation Delivers
$25,000 to Action Zambia
Funding to provide support for the project for two years

Westlake Village, CA (March 5, 2007) – CareNow Foundation is pleased to announce its funding in the amount of $25,000 for Action Zambia, with another $25,000 to be delivered late in 2007.  Action Zambia is part of Action International Ministries, a missionary-sending agency that works in cooperation with local churches in remote regions of the world, assisting with physical and economic needs.

Ed Bjurstrom, CareNow’s founder, personally delivered the check during a recent visit to Zambia, along with CareNow’s executive director, Carrie Sharpshair and a small contingency of CareNow supporters.  The team met with the Action Zambia staff and toured the various villages which will benefit from the funding provided.

CareNow’s funding is earmarked to support a mobile clinic, purchase supplies and equipment and staffing of a nurse and midwife. “Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of CareNow supporters, we have generated enough monies to fund the Action Zambia Medical Ministry through 2008,” said Ed Bjurstrom.

CareNow is committed to providing essential healthcare for the least served people in remote regions of the world, by providing funding for staff, equipment and supplies, and training of local healthcare providers.  CareNow is about “doing.”  “CareNow – DoNow.”  For more information about CareNow Foundation, Inc. or to make a donation, log onto our Web site at www.carenowfoundation.org or call 1-818-597-2451.
