Press ReleasesMarch 22, 2007 CareNow Foundation’s First Westlake Village, CA (March 22, 2007) – Planning is now underway for CareNow’s first annual fundraising gala and silent auction, slated for June 3 at the Moorpark Country Club, in Moorpark, California. The theme for the event is SafariNow – an expedition into the heart of humanity. “The grand ballroom of the Moorpark Country Club will be transformed into an African Safari. The evening promises to be fun-filled and entertaining,” said Carrie Sharpshair, executive director for CareNow. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a reception, followed by a silent auction and dinner. Tickets are $125 each or $1,250 for a table of 10. Sponsors are needed for the event. Auction items are needed, as well as volunteers to help plan the event and on the evening of the gala. “This will be our largest fundraising event for the year. It will also serve as an opportunity for CareNow to thank its many generous supporters,” said Ed Bjurstrom, founder of CareNow. CareNow is committed to providing essential healthcare for the least served people in remote regions of the world, by providing funding for staff, equipment and supplies, and training of local healthcare providers.
