Second Annual Walking4Africa Event Set for Sunday November 15th
The CareNow Foundation’s second annual Walk for Africa is right around the corner! CareNow Foundation is dedicated to the belief that every person deserves access to basic healthcare. This fundraiser – coordinated by CareNow volunteers Susan Hundshamer and Helen Ho – takes participants on a scenic, five kilometer route along the Santa Monica coast in efforts to support five medical clinics in sub-Saharan Africa. What better way to actively support The CareNow Foundation’s endeavors than to get active, get fit, and get walking?
- The Walk4Africa Event is on Sunday, November 15.
- Location is Crescent Bay Park, 2000 Ocean Avenue at Bay Street
- Registration starts at 7:30 am. to pick up T-shirts.
- Cost is $30 for all who sign up on or before October 30.
- After October 30, registration will be $35.
- All registrants will receive custom Walk for Africa T-shirts.
The course takes walkers along the coast and walkers will enjoy beautiful ocean views! Water stations will be positioned along the course to keep walkers hydrated and healthy. Each station will represent one of the clinics that CareNow supports in Africa.
